Navigation
Commercial Pilot
— Pilotage, systems, diversion, lost.
★ A note on this area
Navigation means getting from A to B without getting lost. The FAA wants you to demonstrate four methods — pilotage, dead reckoning, VOR, and GPS — and to combine them intelligently when one fails. Cross-country flying is where you prove you can think like a pilot, not just operate the controls.
This course is an outline. The structure below — every area, task, and element — is mapped to the ACS, but the lessons themselves are not yet written.
