Airport Operations

★ A note on this area

Airport operations is where most of a checkride’s radio work lives — and where nervous applicants give themselves away. The examiner isn’t grading your voice. They’re grading whether the radio is something you operate or something that happens to you. Know the phraseology, know the light signals cold, and fly the pattern like a ground track rather than a heading.

This course is an outline. The structure below — every area, task, and element — is mapped to the ACS, but the lessons themselves are not yet written.
